CIMERA® Radomes are protective covers for antennas, protecting them from weather conditions like rain, hail, and UV radiation while maintaining electromagnetic performance. There‘s an article in our Know how section, which gives detailed information on what a radome is. For even more information we recommend looking at our Use Cases section.

CIMERA® radomes are distinguished by their high mechanical stability, minimal transmission loss, and the ability to be optimized for specific applications using in-house developed software and sophisticated material knowledge. Custom off the shelf radomes cannot adapt to your antenna and atteanuate the signal too much, or they are mechanically too week.
CIMERA radomes support a wide frequency range. The best benefits can be achived from sub 7 GHz to 300 GHz. We’re covering all common bands for satcom and radar applications like Ku and Ka, 5G mmWave-band and also military bands.
The most important features of our radomes are the high mechanical stability and the best-in-class rf-transparency. We ship our radomes as final products with the selected surface finish. In most projects we deliver a full enclosure where the radome sits already in a frame, is sealed and painted and ready for the assembly line.
Considering a radome for a standard satcom application, it is possible to have the first sample in hand only after a few weeks’ time. Talking about more complex radome solutions like a radome full enclosure (with a frame solution, sealed and painted), we would set up a project and define the timeline together with you.
We’re happy to ship CIMERA® radomes worldwide. For additional information you are invited to take a look at our general Terms and Conditions.
We have established development and production processes that are according to DIN EN ISO 9001. Before each delivery we perform an outgoing quality check of our products. In case there was an issue we are working with 8D reports, to handle the situation.
Yes, we can help you selecting the right radome. We start by understanding your antenna’s requirements, design a tailored radome for that, choose the best materials, ensure it meets all specifiation through rigorous testing and prototyping while also keeping cost constraints in mind.
Absolutely, we are experts in manufacturing custom radomes. Each radome is specifically designed with your antenna’s specifications in mind, ensuring minimal signal loss and maximum protection. We maintain open communication and use advanced simulation tools for rapid results and optimal material selection.
CIMERA® radomes offer excellent electromagnetic performance with low insertion loss resulting in a high transmission efficiency, suitable for many different applications. The radome is simulated first, then it is laid out to meet this optimized performance.
CIMERA® radomes are designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, providing high protection and durability. In the course of engineering projects, the environmental requirements are assessed and then the right material choice is made to withstand these conditions.
We use materials specifically selected for their electromagnetic performance and mechanical durability, including but not limited to sandwich-structured Composites.
Yes, CIMERA® radome can be customized with specific paints, colors, logos, and artwork to provide necessary protection, realize customer branding or aesthetic Requirements.
The CIMERA® radome is used in various industries, including telecommunications, satellite communication (satcom), aerospace, and security (communication and detection applications like radar systems).
The process involves initial consultation, design and simulation using proprietary software, rapid prototyping, testing, and product development to meet specific customer requirements.
A typical radome development project follows several key phases. The offical project start is followed by a Concept Development phase, where initial ideas and designs are formulated. The next phase is Product Development, focusing on creating and refining the radome and defining the product specifications. The project then moves to Production Transition, preparing for serial production.
We manage our projects by designating a single point of contact for you, who serves as the project manager. We hold regular meetings to ensure a transparent process and address any issues promptly. This approach helps us meet the schedule and deliver successful outcomes.
Yes, for each project we provide a single point of contact, who manages the project and ensures proactive customer relation.
The price estimation for a radome depends on the type of radome you need. Sometimes, early estimations are possible, or you may receive a price estimation as early as possible during the engineering project. Please contact us for more specific details.
